Following the 2002 WHO report, the 2005 study raised the alarm again. In this study, Gerald Draper and colleagues said they found a link between the distance to the nearest high-voltage power line and childhood leukemia. Draper found that living less than 200 meters from these power lines (in England and Wales) significantly increased the risk of developing leukemia compared with living at least 600 meters away.

 

Isn't it a matter of distance?

 

Low EMF power (including WiFi) seems to cause no harm, at least in the short term, but high power does massive damage. Take, for example, a microwave oven. It uses high-power microwaves (radio waves) with a frequency of 2.4 GHz to heat food. It works because this frequency is a multiple of the natural frequency of the water molecules, and this excites the molecule to vibrate enough to cause friction and heat during cooking.

 

Some people seem to be more sensitive to EMFs (including WiFi) than others. I spoke to this lady. She moved to Hawaii to be as far away from it as possible, but continued to have problems until she consulted a radio expert who brought her test equipment to her home. He noticed that the AC lines on both sides of her bed emit EMFs, as do all unshielded power lines, so the simple solution was to move her bed to the other side of the room, and then the symptoms disappeared.

 

Blood is an electrolytic solution. If you put it in an alternating magnetic field (AC), there will be magnetohydrodynamic effects. How this affects the exchange of material between cells/blood, no one knows. You don't need DNA damage to cause cancer. Poor absorption of nutrients or effects on the functioning of the immune system can lead to cancer. So there is a mechanism, but not the usual DNA damage mechanism.

 

Science, on the other hand, doesn't care what the outcome is: if there is an effect, then there is, and if not, there is no effect. Science is about the process of finding the truth, not the outcome. And scientists who don't care about results find no evidence of an effect.

 

Alternating currents can be easily stepped up and down with transformers, but underground lines are not. AC power supplies can be connected together to form a flexible grid, which is difficult with DC circuits. Burying cables is also expensive, much more expensive than suspended roads, and maintenance is more complex. Overhead lines can be inspected for damage and condition from a helicopter flying over them, this cannot be done with underground cables.

 

Only 2 mG has been linked to leukemia.

I have personally measured 10 mG under power lines. It can be much higher depending on whether the line is running at full capacity. In front of my house, the rope is buried under the pavement. A neighbor told me that he can determine where the line is just by following the gauss meter reading. I avoid the sidewalk, but people push carts on it….

 

One of the most widely studied relationships between low-frequency electromagnetic fields and health is the incidence of leukemia in children. Since a 1979 study titled "Electrical Wiring Configurations and Cancer in Children" by scientists Nancy Wertheimer and Ed Leeper for the American Journal of Epidemiology, scientific evidence was first presented that childhood leukemia worsens with time spent in low-frequency electromagnetic fields. there have been several reports on this. One 2002 report from the US National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences states that there is "no evidence" of low-frequency electromagnetic fields (including WiFi) affecting health. However, the June 2004 issue of the British Medical Journal reports a 69 percent increase in leukemia among children living within 200 meters of power lines.

 

Although allergy to all electromagnetic fields (including WiFi), also known as electromagnetic hypersensitivity, has not been officially recognized as a disease, it is reported by sufferers as causing headache, fatigue, memory loss, ringing in the ears, irregular heartbeat and hypersensitivity of the skin . It can be reduced by moving away from power lines and transformers and giving up electronic devices.
